The Township of Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh is conducting a survey about Short-Term Rentals. Our goal is to gain an in-depth understanding of the Short-Term Rental market and the challenges and opportunities it presents.
Due to no pending applications under the Planning Act that require a Public Meeting the Council Meeting- Planning scheduled for Tuesday, March 12 at 7:00 p.m. has been cancelled.
The precautionary boil water notice for the Dungannon Water System has been lifted.
Due to system maintenance you may have water interruptions between 8 am - 12 pm on Tuesday, February 20th. Please set aside water for use during this time. Once water is restored a Precautionary Boil Water Notice will be in place. The Notice will be lifted once samples taken have been cleared.

On Wednesday, MPP Lisa Thompson officially congratulated officials with the Township of Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh on the work done at Ashfield Park as a result of receiving a $150,000 Capital grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF). The Township put the funds from it’s 2022 Capital grant to work, ensuring that the washroom facilities at Ashfield Park were upgraded and are now accessible to people of all abilities.
The Township of has initiated a review of its Zoning By-law. Any changes approved would apply across the Township as a whole. Following the hosting of open houses, a public meeting in which the Zoning By-law Amendment may be considered will be held on Thursday, February 15th 2024 at 7:00pm in the Township Council Chambers, 82133 Council Line, RR5 Goderich.

Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority (ABCA) and Maitland Valley Conservation Authority (MVCA) are cautioning that shoreline bluffs continue to be at a high risk of collapse. They advise the public to continue to be cautious near these shoreline areas.
