The Community Onsite Septic Inspection Program will continue this summer. Most inspections will occur west of Highway 21 ( Bluewater Hwy south of Shoreline Road, moving inland to the community of Saltford and the settlement areas of Benmiller, Carlow and Nile.
Starting March 1st until April 30th, 2026 the Township of Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh will be enforcing half-load restrictions on all designated roads to protect the infrastructure during the spring thaw when roads are most vulnerable to damage.
The Township of Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh has formed an Agricultural Property Standards Working Group to consider updating the Property Standards By-law to apply to all properties, including agricultural lands.
