Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority (ABCA) and Maitland Valley Conservation Authority (MVCA) are cautioning that shoreline bluffs continue to be at a high risk of collapse. They advise the public to continue to be cautious near these shoreline areas.

Due to system repairs the water will be SHUT OFF on December 5, 2023 from 9:00 am -3:00 pm. Please set aside water for use during this time. Once water is restored a Precautionary Boil Water Notice will be in place. The Notice will be lifted once samples taken have been cleared.

Due to no pending applications under the Planning Act that require a Public Meeting the Council Meeting- Planning scheduled for Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. has been cancelled.

The County of Huron invites applications for the position of member of the Huron County Accessibility Advisory Committee (HCAAC). The position is voluntary, but receives a small honorarium and expenses.

A section of Westmount Line between Dunlop Drive and MTO Road will be closed starting on September 13, 2023 for approximately 4 weeks.

The Township of Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh is moving forward with Phase 1a & 1b of the Port Albert Servicing Master Plan. This project, known as the Welling Street Improvements, includes roadway urbanization and storm sewer installation on Wellington Road between South Street and Russell Street.
