Prior to the Saturday, June 11th performance of 'Kingsbridge the Musical IV ~ A Line in the Dirt', we have a very special event.   A “Taste of Ontario” will be offered from 7-8 pm in the lower level of Kingsbridge Centre.  This free event highlights agriculture from the heart of Kingsbridge out to the surrounding communities and agribusinesses.  Free samples from our local farm gate and value added producers will showcase the depth and breadth of our agricultural industry.

Notice of Caution- Heightened Risk of Bluff Erosion

Record high Lake Huron water levels over the past few years have resulted in significant toe erosion and oversteepening of the shoreline bluffs. In addition, seasonal rainfall and snowmelt have saturated the land and softened the clay till bluffs, making some areas along Lake Huron prone to collapse. These destabilizing conditions will likely lead to an increase in erosion through slope failures, slumping and gully erosion.

Watershed Conditions Statement - Water Safety

A stretch of mild temperatures is expected over the next few days followed by a period of widespread rain this weekend. Temperatures are forecast to reach a high of 17°C Thursday and remain above the freezing point through Saturday. This duration of unseasonably warm temperatures will eliminate what is remaining of the snowpack throughout the Maitland and Nine Mile River watersheds.

Disaster Recovery Assistance for Ontarians

The Disaster Recovery Assistance for Ontarians  program helps Ontarians ‘get back on their feet’ after a natural disaster. ACW provided the ministry with information to assess the damage sustained as a result of the tornado on September 7, 2021. The ministry’s assessment process is now complete. No areas were identified in your municipality where there was costly and widespread damage to eligible private property, that would not be covered by insurance. As a result, the ministry will not activate the Disaster Recovery Assistance for Ontarians program.
