Public Notice - Sale of Surplus Municipal Land

TAKE NOTICE that pursuant to By-law No. 43-2019, the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh intends to sell the following lands:


1. Part Lot 88, Plan 229 West Wawanosh and Lot 89, Plan 229 West Wawanosh, being designated as Part 2 on Reference Plan 22R-7523, and forming part of PIN 41083-0037 (LT);


2. Part Lot 144, Plan 230 West Wawanosh, being designated as Part 3 on Reference Plan 22R-7061, and forming part of PIN 41084-0066 (LT), together with Lot 145, Plan 230 West Wawanosh, being all of PIN 41084-0067 (LT); and


3. Lot 87 and Part of Lot 88, Plan 229 West Wawanosh, being designated as Part 1 on Reference Plan 22R-7523, and forming part of PIN 41083-0037 (LT).
 

AND TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that the above-noted lands were declared surplus by Council on October 21, 2025.
 

AND TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that the lands were offered for sale by public tender, and tenders were accepted by Council on May 19, 2026.
 

A copy of the proposed by-law to authorize the sale of the lands may be viewed on the Township’s website at Dungannon Surplus Lots Project Page or by contacting the undersigned.
 

Council will consider the by-law to authorize the sale of the lands at its regular meeting to be held on Tuesday, June 16, 2026 at 9:00 a.m. The transactions are expected to close on or about June 30, 2026.
Any person who claims that their lands will be prejudicially affected by the proposed by-law may provide written notice to the undersigned prior to the closing of the sale.
