There's a new, simplified process for residents conducting controlled burns:

• Post a sign – Place a clearly visible “Controlled Burn in Progress” sign at the entrance of your property (visible from the road).
• No call required – You no longer need to contact Fire Dispatch or notify the Fire Chief before burning
• Burn only permitted materials – Clean brush and untreated wood for disposal purposes only.
• Do NOT burn – Leaves, grass, garbage, treated wood, plastics, tires, or construction materials.

These updates help improve safety, reduce unnecessary emergency calls, and protect residents, property, and first responders.
