Motorists are asked to use caution if they are travelling municipal roads. Following the weather events that transpired the public works department is working hard to clear downed trees and debris. Please remain patient as crews continue to assess the situation. The Ashfield Landfill located at 36739 Glens Hill Road will be open, Wednesday September 8, 2021, Thursday September 9, 2021 and Friday September 10, 2021 from 12:00 – 5:00 p.m. to accept brush from last night storm. Only brush will be accepted at this time, please do not bring other materials. Thank you for your cooperation!

Update: Northern Tornadoes Project confirms a twister touched down in the Kingsbridge area and tracked towards Lucknow. It says “significant tree and structural damage” was reported. The Northern Tornadoes Project says a preliminary review of ground and drone survey data finds at least one tornado path with a preliminary EF2 rating. The twister near Lucknow had maximum wind speeds of up to 180 km/h, a path width of around 1.3 km and a track length of nearly 19 km.
