Requires a Building Administrative Assistant
The Township of Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh is seeking a responsible and motivated individual to join our team. This full-time position will report to the Chief Building Official.
Responsibilities include however not limited to the following:
• Providing administrative support to the Chief Building Official and Building Inspector in addition to other departments as required
• Provides customer service support and responds to inquiries from the public and other municipal departments regarding the day-to-day activities of the Building Department
Preferred Qualifications:
• Excellent computer skills including a sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, as well as the Internet and related GIS
• Excellent written and verbal communications, time management, organizational, analytical, problem-solving and customer service skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to work effectively in a team environment and to exhibit courtesy, tact, and diplomacy in dealing with the public, department officials, other members of staff, and to adhere to confidentiality requirements at all times
• Experience in construction and/or municipal sector an asset
• Have a valid class “G” Ontario Driver’s License in good standing
The 2025 compensation range for this full-time, permanent position is $26.14 to $32.67 per hour with a 35-hour work week. We also offer a comprehensive pension and benefit package.
